Activate 2FA On Discord
Before starting to set up 2FA on Discord, you will need an authenticator app. Plenty of apps are available to download for iOS and Android; you can select any one of your choices; once installed, follow the step to activate Two-Factor Authentication on Discord.
- Open your Discord app or use the website.
- Login to your Discord account
- Now click on the “User Settings” icon from the bottom of the screen
- Click on the “My Account” option.
- Scroll down and look for “Two-Factor Authentication.”
- Click on the “Enable Two-Factor Auth”
- You will be able to see a QR code and a 2FA code key on the screen
- Now, open the authenticator app you installed on your smartphone.
- Now scan the QR code using the app, or enter the key manually
- You will get a code
- Enter that code in your Discord server
- Click on the “Activate” button
- You will get a prompt to activate SMS authentication and download backup codes.
- You can also link your mobile number as a backup method for 2FA.
- You can download backup codes for any issue on the authenticator app.
