Discord is the place where you can communicate with people having the same interest and liking. But do you know there are other hidden communities and channels in Discord that only a few people can access? In this post, we will discuss the hidden channel on Discord and how we can access them.
A hidden channel on Discord doesn’t mean that there is something secretive or suspicious things. These are just channels that are specific for some roles, or they are muted.
Role-based channels are channels in which only the members with specific roles can access the channel.
For ex:-, based on a specific server, you can have a channel only for admins where the admins can talk and communicate with each other. Or you have set roles for different channels to join the channel.
Muted channels don’t show up to you because you have removed them from the channel list based on your preference or interest.
You cannot access any role-based channel if you don’t have the specific role to access the channel. You have to be the admin or should have a specific role if you want to access those channels. But you have control over the muted channel because it is setting-based. To access these channels, follow these steps-
- On your Discord app, select the server.
- Go to “Notification Settings”
- Scroll down and look for “Notification Overrides”
- Select the channel you want to unmute.
- Deselect the “Mute”
- Click on the “Done” button. You are done.
